Natalie Stevens is contributing to Australia's defence ventures into orbit.

As one of the rising stars among the nation's female scientists in Defence, Natalie is focused on developing advance ground capabilities and planning early mission operations for cube satellites.

What are cube satellites? These small, shoebox size units offer a cost-effective alternative to traditional satellites and will help support Australia's world-leading over-horizon radar network.

Women Scientists in Defence

Since joining DSTG, Natalie has been working on a range of space system projects, including a collaborative effort with the University of New South Wales on the Buccaneer cube satellite mission. 

Natalie's journey in research commenced at James Cook University in Townsville, where she graduated with an Honours degree in Computer Systems Engineering.
