Event | 2016 'Behind The Fence' Indigenous STEM Education Program
The 2016 ‘Behind the Fence’ Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) Indigenous program being held during National Science Week on the 17th August 2016 is now open for nominations.
The program provides 50 Adelaide Indigenous high school students (Years 9 to 12) currently studying STEM related subjects with an insight into Defence and Defence Science and Technology (DST).
It will also enable DST to showcase the various career opportunities available to students if they were to continue their studies at a university level.
The program commences at the University of South Australia, Mawson Lakes campus for a one-hour information session about studying STEM at university and a short lab tour. The program then moves to DST Edinburgh and RAAF Base Edinburgh where a number of fun and informative activities have been organised for students.
To nominate, please download and complete the 'Behind the Fence 2016' application form' and return a signed copy to your teacher.
