DSTG brings together interdisciplinary expertise from across Australia and around the world to address Defence and national security challenges. Our role is to work closely with the Australian science, technology and innovation eco-system to deliver scientific advice and solutions that provide capability enhancement for Defence and the national security community.
As part of the First Principles Review implementation, from 1 July 2015 the Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO) has been renamed as the Defence Science and Technology Group. This change gives effect to the One Defence business model recommended in the First Principles Review.
Moving to the new title does not affect any current contracts, working arrangements or points of contact.
The name change will be progressively implemented on this website and other communications material over the coming months.
