National Science Week

National Science Week is Australia's annual celebration of science and technology running each year in August.

The event provides an opportunity to acknowledge the Australian STEM workforce and to celebrate the contribution of our scientists, technologists, engineers and mathematicians.

Additionally, it aims to encourage an interest in science pursuits among the general public and encourage younger people to be fascinated by the world we live in.

Defence is a proud participant of National Science Week and recognise that a highly-skilled STEM workforce is critical to Australia’s Defence and national security capabilities.
