Information and communications

We research the techniques, processes and equipment essential for tactical to strategic situational awareness and command – planning, directing, and controlling operations – in order to provide accurate, complete, and timely information and decisions.

Research considers the architecture, integration, collection, processing, visualisation, dissemination and disposition of information supporting command and control, combat and mission systems, and intelligence systems.

This area also includes research into military communications and information architectures, including efficiency, vulnerability and survivability.
