Autonomous systems

The fusion of machines, computing, sensing and software to create intelligent systems capable of interacting with the complexities of the real world.

The area consists of a broad range of research activities into machine autonomy consisting of trusted decision making, autonomous systems and uncrewed autonomous platforms to undertake tasks that are too risky or too difficult for a crewed platform, reduce workload or provide operational flexibility.
