Centre of Expertise in Physical Employment Standards

The Centre of Expertise in Physical Employment Standards is assisting the Australian Defence Force (ADF) to develop performance standards that accurately represent the physical requirements of ADF roles.

The centre was established between DST and the University of Wollongong in 2009 and renewed in 2012.

The establishment of objective physical employment standards provides a reliable way of assessing an individual’s ability to perform a role, regardless of their trade classification, rank, age or gender.
