Gerard Markham

Squadron Leader Gerard Markham is an Armament Engineer who joined the Royal Australian Air Force in 2005 and completed his Bachelor of Engineering (Aeronautical) in 2009 with Honours.

Gerard's diverse career includes postings to No. 1 Squadron, Aerospace Explosive Ordnance Systems Program Office, Air Warfare Centre and Personnel-Branch Air Force, as well as Operational deployments to the Middle East.

He has undertaken specialist training as a Guided Weapons Engineer, completing his Masters in Science - Guided Weapons in Shrivenham, UK, as well as further study in the fields of Business and Systems Engineering.

Gerard is about to commence his posting as the Senior Engineering Officer at No. 75 Squadron, RAAF Base Tindal, where he will be responsible for the airworthiness and maintenance of the F-35A Lightning II.
