DSTG has a corporate responsibility to engage with the broader community in order to promote the benefits of Defence science and technology.

We show leadership in helping Australia develop and shape a national science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) capability for the long-term human resources needs of Defence and national security agencies by working cooperatively across the primary, secondary and tertiary education sectors.

As an Australian science and technology agency, we have an important role to reach out to the Australian community, particularly through the education system, to help promote the benefits of Defence science and technology to help shape a national STEM capability.

See our Community outreach page for examples of how we help the community to engage with science and technology.
