Disruptive Biotechnology Online Workshop

Defence and the SABRE Alliance held a successful workshop to seek input from the Australian biotechnology sector and ADSUN members on emerging disruptive biotechnologies with Defence and National Security applications that could be realised in the next 5-15 years.

2023 SABRE Workshop

The Inaugural, Safeguarding Australia through Biotechnology Response and Engagement (SABRE) workshop was launched at the ‘Science Meets Parliament’ Initiative, March 2023. The mission of the workshop was to emphasise the importance of partnership and innovation, in building stronger more resilient systems, that can adapt to the evolving threat landscape. Over 200 participants from across the biotechnology ecosystem were immersed in one of three simulated live-threat scenarios (vignettes).
