Defence Operations Research Symposium 2016

The theme for the Defence Operations Research Symposium (DORS) was ‘From Trusted Data to Trusted Decisions’ having a sub-theme ‘Informing and Supporting the Defence Decision Maker’. In 2016, DORS was run in conjunction with the Defence Human Sciences Symposium (DHSS).

2016 theme is 'Energetic Materials Technology for Australia's Security and Prosperity - Partnerships, Communications and Knowledge Sharing'.

Behind The Fence 2016

The 2016 ‘Behind the Fence’ Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) Indigenous program to be held during National Science Week on the 17th August 2016 will provide 50 Adelaide Indigenous high school students (Year 9 to year 12) currently studying STEM related subjects. The program will provide an opportunity for DST to showcase the various career opportunities available to students if they were to continue their studies at a university level.

The symposium was aimed at understanding and shaping the long term vision for TAS to influence national dialogue and guide longer term investments by Defence.
